OMAHA, Neb. – Aug. 8, 2006 – The rapid success of Jelecos’ latest endeavor has the technology solutions company expanding just months after its introduction. Jelecos announced today that it has expanded the capacity of its new offsite backup service, DataVault, by more than 300 percent to keep up with demand since the service’s launch.
The DataVault service is a unique alternative to traditional backup methods, replacing or augmenting conventional tape-based systems with a fully automated online solution. Jelecos is already protecting more than eight terabytes (TB), or more than 8,000 gigabytes (GB), of client data with the new system, and predicts that amount will increase to 12 TB by year-end.

With DataVault, JeIecos provides centralized and automated backups of PCs, file servers and application/database servers with secure offsite storage and immediate online restoration. The automated and unattended backup process ensures corporate data is securely backed up and transferred offsite to one of Jelecos’ secure data centers. All data is encrypted at the customer site prior to transmission using the industry-standard AES encryption algorithms. Encrypted data is stored offsite in on a high performance, fault-tolerant Storage Area Network which is backed up to another secure location to provide additional protection.
